Photographing a Liga Portugal Betclic Football Match

I used two cameras, my new A7 V, and my old A7 IV, The A7 V with the 300mm attached and the A7 IV with a 70-200mm, all Sony lenses.

First half of the match was OK in terms of photos, second half very poor, I will say.

I photographed always in manual mode and used silent shutter (liked that) on my A7 V. Took more than 2k photos. From those around 300 went to the club I was photographing to and 15 to national press.

I liked the result of my jpg photos from my new A7 V in silent mode, it could take 30 photos per second like this. Focus was also quite good, didn't miss many photos and was quite fast, like the wifi, super fast to send the photos directly to the football club.

It was a sunny day but one part of the field was with shadow, so I had to always change my shutter speed each time I had to photograph in that area. Alverca scored in the first half, right on the beginning of the match, with a penalty kick, and Santa Clara on the second half, very close to the end of the match.

Next week I will photograph a Liga Portugal Meu Super football match.
